Care For Your New Canyon Reel

Thank you for purchasing our Canyon Fishing Reels. We take great pride in assembling our reels and we want you to get the maximum performance and time out of your new reel. By following the simple tips below, your new Canyon Reel will continue to perform like new, fish after fish, year after year!

Rinse your reels with freshwater after each trip. When rinsing with a freshwater hose, never attempt to shoot water at high pressure into any openings of the reels. This may result in the loss of grease on your gears.
Wipe your reel dry after each rinse and allow the reel to dry completely in upright position.
Keep your reel covered with the supplied neoprene reel covers when not being used. This will also protect your fishing line from harmful ultra-violet rays that will weaken your line strength
Once a month, wipe your reel down with the supplied ReelX in each box. ReelX will keep your reel in new condition by coating the screws, washers, frame with a protective coating
Your reel can be waxed every month to keep that brand new shine and appearance. Be careful not to get wax directly on your line. This may cause an undesirable film when being used. The wax, along with the supplied ReelX will keep your Canyon Reel in brand new condition for many years of use.
When storing your reels, be sure to back down the drag lever, releasing all pressure on the drag. This will keep your drag washers from forming uneven surface indentations
Never attempt to open your reel. We suggest using a local shop or using Canyon Reels directly for any maintenance that you want to perform off season. A lack of experience may result in the loss of very small parts that will not be covered under our one year warranty. Our reels are warrantied, but if you remove parts, this will not be covered.
Never attempt to make internal changes to your reels. Canyon Reel's technicians have already optimized your fishing reel. You will not gain any additional performance levels by modifying the reel yourself.
Never over grease your reel should you choose to open it yourself. This may result in a loss of drag performance if grease is applied to the wrong locations inside the reel.

Canyon Reels also offers a yearly HS-15 maintenance service for the low cost of $29.99 plus shipping. We will open up your reel and clean, lube, grease, adjust all parts to keep your reel working like brand new. Congratulations and thank you for your purchase of one of the finest fishing reels on the market. The staff at Canyon Reels will be available to answer all of your questions, comments or problems. Please fill out the warranty registration form below to activate your one year warranty. We are very confident that you will find your new Canyon Reel to be one of the most extreme fishing reels available to the fisherman. All of our reels are the product of testing through recreational and charter captains from around the world.

Canyon Reels, LLC, warranties it product to be free from defect in workmanship and materials for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does NOT cover damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse or normal expected wear. If your Canyon Reel has a defect or issue covered by warranty, you can visit an Authorized Warranty Center or mail your reel back to the address specified on your warranty card issued in the box at time of purchase. You may also call our warranty department to speed up your claim to receive an authorization serial number. We will repair or replace your reel at our option and Canyon Reels LLC, will pay for all returned shipping costs. The initial shipping charges are the responsibility of the person making the claim, not Canyon Reels LLC. In the event the claim is not covered by warranty, Canyon Reels LLC, will offer an estimate for the cost of repairs needed. If you do not wish to have repair work done, Canyon Reels LLC, will return your reel in the condition it was shipped to us.

Returns will be at the discretion of Canyon Reels, LLC and are dependent upon the state of the reel as assessed at the time of return. A restocking fee of up to 15% of the original purchase price may apply.

ALL WARRANTIES WHICH MAY BE IMPLIED BY OPERATION OF LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANT ABILITY AND WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE SHALL BE LIMITED TO ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE. IN NO EVENT SHALL CANYON REELS, LLC, BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY WHICH MAY BE IMPLIED BY LAW.

WARRANTIES ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE. THEY DO NOT APPLY TO CANYON REELS, LLC PRODUCTS PURCHASED SECOND-HAND OR FROM UNAUTHORIZED RETAILERS. PURCHASES FROM EBAY, CRAIGSLIST OR OTHER ONLINE RESELLING SITES ARE INELIGIBLE FOR WARRANTY COVERAGE.
